Summary: The Patient Service Representative, provides reception and direction to all patients in a professional, courteous and efficient manner. Utilizes computer functions for patient registration and charge posting. Assists patients with basic billing questions. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Implements directions from the physicians and the therapy staff. Regulatory Requirements: Medical Terminology knowledge base required or course completed preferred. High school graduate Medical office or hospital experience preferred Skills: Basic computer knowledge. Able to type/word process for data entry. . $ Desire to be a team player with a positive attitude, and responsive to change $ Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations $ Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction. $ Attention to detail is essential. $ Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. $ Skills in operating a computer, fax, and duplication machines. $ Professional manner and appearance.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
